Fashionista at CIT!


Lee Lin Chin and students webLee Lin Chin, Fashionista presenter and SBS newsreader, will visit fashion students at CIT this Thursday. Ms Chin and the students will be involved in a collaborative project with the National Archives of Australia for VIVID in 2008.

Fashion students will be designing outfits for Ms Chin and the latest visit to CIT will be for a fitting. She will pick her favourite outfit, to be announced at an event at the National Archives.

Her advice to fashion students - "Don't compromise your design to be commercial. You will end up frustrated and unfulfilled." (Lee Lin Chin is pictured with third year students Natalie Turtle and Eline Martinsen on her first CIT visit late last year.)

VIVID is the National Photography Festival that will run in Canberra from 11 July to 12 October. Among the big institutions such as the NMA, War Memorial, ANU and many others, CIT will be hosting its own exhibitions during the festival in designspace@CIT.
