  • good communication skills
  • acceptable moral and social values

  • a variety of nutritionally balanced meals (for students choosing full board arrangements)

If you do meet these requirements and are interested in becoming a host you will:

  • be sensitive to the different dietary requirements and living styles of the student and make every effort to offer a caring and warm environment for them to live in.

Please note

  • The needs of the host as well as the student are taken into consideration by CIT when a student is placed in Homestay accommodation.
  • The International Division will provide you with advice prior to students’ arrival, and offers support after the student moves into your home.
  • Students are expected to pay additional fees for telephone and Internet usage in your home. CIT will advise the student of these additional costs prior to their acceptance of your offer for Homestay accommodation.
