  • ACT Year 12 Certificate or equivalent or Adult Entry
  • Possess keyboard navigation skills and be able to produce documents using a computer
  • Be able to use the internet and email
  • IELTS 5.5 (with no band score less than 5.0)


Overview

Computer forensic science is the science of acquiring, preserving, retrieving, analysing, interpreting and presenting data in a legal or quasi legal context. This program provides the knowledge and skills to search for and document forensic electronic evidence that may be used in a court of law.

Pathways to Further Study

Students who successfully complete the Advanced Diploma in Computer Forensics and gain a place at the University of Canberra will receive the following:

  • 15 credit points out of a total of 72 credit points of advanced standing towards the Bachelor of Information Technology
  • 12 credit points out of a total of 72 credit points of advanced standing towards the Bachelor of Software Engineering
