Child Studies - International

Courses Offered

  • Diploma of Children's Services

Overview

Working with children is one of the most valuable and rewarding professions a person can choose. Child Care professionals contribute significantly to a child’s life by helping to shape attitudes toward him/herself, others and to learning.

Caring for children has changed over the past few years. Research has indicated the early childhood years are important and formative years. More and more families are looking for trained Child Care Professionals who have an understanding of best practice and quality care to support the development and care of their children.

These programs allow students to learn about children through observation, discussion and practical experience; to learn and develop interpersonal skills and team work strategies; to gain an understanding of child development and behaviour and to develop skills and abilities to care for children.
