Government to fund up to 90% of qualifications for existing workers
Through the Productivity Places Program, the Australian Government aims to provide more Australian employees with opportunities to upskill and increase their qualification levels.
Round one, which has now closed, saw organisations receive funding of up to 90 percent of the cost of a nationally recognised qualification, in skills shortages areas recognised on the ACT Priority Occupations List. Round two will commence on Tuesday 31 August and close at 5pm on Wednesday 15 September 2010. You can register your interest for this program now.
The Productivity Places Program is also funding training places for job seekers, at no cost to job seeker or employment service provider. More info on PPP for job seekers.
