| Entry Requirements: | You must : - have an ACT Year 12 (or equivalent) with a tertiary major in music and an accredited minor in English AND - be competent in at least one instrument, which may include voice. Entry Process: Entry will be based on a resume outlining education achievements and work experience, AND an audition to determine music competence to perform at Associate Degree level. Auditions will be held at CIT's Music Industry Centre prior to program enrolment. The audition may include a written theory component. Formal admission to the ANU Associate Degree (specialising in Music) will be approved by the ANU Dean of the Faculty of Arts, who, as with all other degrees of the Faculty, has ultimate responsibility to determine the admission requirements for students on an individual basis. | |||
| Credit Transfer: | Successful completion of the Music (ANU Associate Degree), with at least a credit average across all graded CIT-delivered subjects and passes in the ANU delivered subjects, will ordinarily guarantee students direct admission to the Australian National University's Bachelor of Arts (Music) with 72 units of status and a Commonwealth Supported (HECS) place for Australian students. | Additional Information: | You will be required to undertake approximately 40 hours of private lessons in your chosen instrument as part of the program requirements. Costs of private lessons vary; however, you can expect them to cost approximately $300 per semester. Tuition costs for the CIT-delivered courses will be calculated according to CIT's fee system. When enrolled in ANU delivered courses, eligible students will be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place for these units. Students will be required to submit a Request for Commonwealth support and HECS - HELP form by the Census date. Enrolment in the ANU delivered courses will consume Student Learning Entitlement (SLE). | |||
