| Summary: | This program is an introduction to basic design principles and processes. It provides practical, project-based learning experiences that involve design briefs and themes to integrate design skills, conceptual thinking and workplace skills and attitudes. After completing this program you will have produced a portfolio of design work that will assist you with your application for entry into specialist design programs in fields such as animation, interior design, graphic design, multimedia, fashion design, photography or art and design.

| Entry Requirements: | You must be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10 (early in your program your skills will be checked - if you cannot read and write documents and complete maths work to the level needed, you will be enrolled in additional subjects to help you build the skills needed to successfully complete the program). |

| Additional Information: | You will need to purchase equipment and project materials for use throughout the program. There will also be a materials cost of approx. $95 for the program. If you successfully complete the program and receive a Credit grade or above for the Integrated Design Project you will be eligible for consideration into an Advanced Diploma or degree program offered by the Centre for Creative Industries. |
