Automotive Vehicle Painting, Panel Beating - Certificate II & III


Program Summary:

Vehicle Painting - These programs provide training that will enable you to prepare surfaces, mix paint and to spray paint cars and other vehicles. You must be an apprentice or trainee to enrol in these programs.

Panel Beating - These programs provide training that will enable you to repair the body of vehicles that have been damaged in accidents. You will learn to weld, repair panels and remove and replace vehicle components and accessories. You must be an apprentice or trainee to enrol in these programs.

Qualification:

Certificate III in Automotive Vehicle Body (AUR30805)
with pathways in Vehicle Painting, Panel Beating
Certificate II in Automotive Vehicle Body (AUR20905)
with pathways in Paint Preparation, Panel Preparation
These qualifications meet the requirements of the Automotive Industry Retail, Service and Repair Training Package (AUR05)

Delivery Mode:

Entry Requirements: You must be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10. Early in your program these skills will be checked and if you have difficulty reading and writing documents, and completing maths work to the level required, you will be enrolled in additional subjects to help you build the skills needed to successfully complete the program.

If you are entering these programs as a trainee or apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the relevant industry and be registered with an Australian Apprenticeships Centre (AAC) prior to enrolment. If you are not an apprentice or trainee, you must obtain permission from your Centre Director before you can enrol.

Additional Information: You will need to wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment when in the automotive workshops.
