Applied Business and Information Technology - Advanced Diploma


Program Summary: The program will concentrate on developing a person who is able to comprehend the terminology, concepts, principles, values and ethics associated with business, management, finance and IT. They will be able to identify, clarify, diagnose and solve problems that involve IT, and have excellent communication skills to deal with experts from a range of areas. The graduate should also be able to see their work within a business context locally, nationally or globally as appropriate.

Advanced Diploma of Applied Business and Information Technology
This qualification achieves units of competency from the Business Services Training Package (BSB07 version 01), the Financial Services Training Package (FNS04 version 01) and the Information and Communications Technology Training Package (ICA05 version 01)

Entry Requirements: You must
- have an ACT Year 12 Certificate (or equivalent) with a T-Major in English OR be Mature Age (turn at least 20 in first year of study)
AND
- possess basic computing skills sufficient to
- use a Windows-type operating system
- produce simple documents using at least 3 different application software packages, including a word processing and spreadsheet package
- integrate data from several application software packages by manipulating data and applying conversion formats
AND
- provide details about relevant work experience at an interview
