Animation - Advanced Diploma and Certificate IV


Program Summary: These programs provides you with advanced skills to expand your career as an animator, artist or designer in many 3D areas including film, simulation, games, advertising, web design and other developing interactive areas. They also provide useful animation skills that complement a range of roles and industries.

Advanced Diploma of Screen (CUF60101)
Certificate IV in Screen (CUF40401)
These qualification meets the requirements of the Film, Television, Radio, Multimedia Industry Training Package (CUF01 v3)

Advanced Diploma 2 semesters full-time (approx. 29 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent (after completion of the Certificate IV)

Entry Requirements:
Advanced Diploma You must:
- have a Certificate IV in Screen (CUV40401) or equivalent skills and knowledge
AND
- present a portfolio at interview of recent work that demonstrates your skills and aptitude for electronic animation

Certificate IV You must:
- be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10 (early in your program your skills will be checked - if you cannot read and write documents and complete maths work to the level needed, you will be enrolled in additional subjects to help you build the skills needed to successfully complete the program)
AND
- present a portfolio at interview of recent work that demonstrates your skills and aptitude for electronic animation at this level such as creativity (may include electronic art, painting, sculpture, photography, etc) and basic IT skills

Entry Process:

1 Submit application
2 Attend an interview (or other negotiated process) where you will be given the opportunity to elaborate on your portfolio and present your academic results, resume and references and any other supporting material which demonstrates the following:
- creativity and conceptual skills
- motivation and attitudes towards IT, animation, design and related work
- potential aptitude for electronic animation work
- work experience, where relevant
- portfolio organisation skills
