Acknowledging the Source

The examples below use the Harvard or author/date system. For further information on citations, references and bibliographies refer to the publication Acknowledging the Source available for sale at CITSA bookshops and Learning Centres or online at WebCT > Study Support Course > Library Stuff.

The standard format for referencing a publication is:

Author's surname, Initials of first name/s publication date, Title (in italics OR if your work is handwritten underline the title), Publisher, Place of publication.

Author’s family name, initial (followed by a space) date of creation of site/last revision of site 'Title of work', name of owner/sponsor of the site (where given), the date the site was accessed/viewed, the URL or web address enclosed in angle brackets.
