CIT Kicks Off '08 by DEVELOPING US
30 January 2008 The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is kicking off 2008 with a day of learning and discovery for over 450 CIT staff on Tuesday 29 January 2008. Called DEVELOPINGUS '08, the full day event will take place at the CIT Bruce Campus. The day is designed to prepare and inspire both teaching and administrative staff by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to keep CIT at the forefront of vocational education and training in Australia. Guest speakers will provide new perspectives on managing change, emerging leadership trends and communicating with influence. Workshops throughout the day have a strong focus on creativity and innovation. CIT Chief Executive, Dr Colin Adrian is "excited about the day and its focus on preparing CIT staff and the organisation for the future demands of vocational education." Keynote speaker, Neil Black, has over 15 years experience as a TAFE Institute Director and is involved with the implementation of the Star Rating Scheme by the Institute of Trade Skills Excellence and development of the Australian Quality Training Framework.
