Permanent Vacancies: All permanent vacancies are advertised on the ACT Government Jobs website: http://www.jobs.act.gov.au/ Permanent vacancies are occasionally advertised in the media in such publications as the Canberra Times and Weekend Australian. In some cases the Institute will advertise in small specialist type publications such as the Koori Mail and the Campus Review. The Institute advertises all permanent base grade positions in the Canberra Times or other similar type publications. Long Term Temporary Vacancies: Long-term temporary vacancies are usually advertised on the ACT Government Jobs website: http://www.jobs.act.gov.au/ Long-term temporary vacancies are occasionally advertised in the media in such publications as the Canberra Times and Weekend Australian. Short Term Temporary Vacancies: Short-term vacancies are occasionally filled using an employment register. Employment registers for each faculty and division are advertised in the employment section of the Canberra Times every 12 months. Once advertised, the Register remains open for 12 months and applications can be added to the register at any time during this period. The employment register is used to determine a list of applicants who will then be assessed for suitability. If you wish to apply to a temporary register you should contact the relevant area for specific information on how to apply. Casual Teaching Vacancies: Casual teaching vacancies are filled using an employment register. Employment registers for each centre are advertised in the employment section of the Canberra Times every 12 months. Once advertised, the Register remains open for 12 months and applications can be added to the register at any time during this period. The employment register is used to determine a list of applicants who will then be assessed for suitability.
