Welcome to the Canberra Institute of Technology website. The site will tell you all about CIT and will help you in choosing the right course or program which best meets your needs.

Your decision to take on further study is a big step, whether you have just finished school, want to change career or wish to expand your knowledge and skills. In the demanding environment in which we live, CIT recognises that flexibility and choice are an important part of your decision to undertake further education and training. Our students can access a range of qualifications - certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree, degree and graduate certificate. We also support a large number of apprenticeships and traineeships.

At CIT we know our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds and have different needs. Our flexible learning options let you design a study program to suit your needs and our staff will help you and provide advice about your program.

CIT provides students with industry relevant skills and knowledge. We are innovative in the way that we deliver curriculum – we are always looking for new ways to do things to stay ahead in a constantly changing world with ever increasing levels of information. When developing programs to fit this dynamic environment, we talk with our clients and industry to work out what the job market needs. Our staff are highly qualified with many coming directly from industry and have the inside information needed to give our students the edge. We work closely with business and other educational organisations – these partnerships allow our students a choice of pathways to employment, further study upon graduation or career enhancement.

Vocational education and training is an important part of any community. It provides essential training to individuals and gives them the skills they need to succeed in whatever career they choose.
