YARDS Program

Yards ProgramThe CIT Vocational College YARDS program provides young people aged 15-25 years with a positive choice to improve their vocational and educational futures.

Participants in the YARDS program have the opportunity to work on developing their life skills and bridging learning gaps in their education.

YARDS youth workers assist participants to access vocational training and education options through a transition support program. The program runs for 10 weeks and includes vocational, educational and personal support. The program's focus is to engage young people in education and to strengthen and resource them so they can succeed in life.

The positive peer culture of the CIT Vocational College and the independent learning environment assists the participants to develop their own learning goals and provides them with the support needed to achieve these goals.

The core components of the YARDS program have emerged from the needs of the participants and we seek to continue to be responsive in catering to these needs.

If you are, or know of a young person who may be interested in the YARDS program, please call us for a chat. We look forward to hearing from you.
